This assignment was to draw two eggs with a specific color scheme. For the black paper, I chose a warm color scheme and for the brown palate i choose a cool color scheme.

This assignment was to draw a sphere and a cone with three colored pencils on three differently colored sheets of paper (black, grey, brown). Then, once we were finished, we chose a fruit to draw on any color paper with lots of color and detail.
1. I created an interesting point of view with two point perspective. It wasn’t fully successful because the ship was such a wonky shape. There were some places that don’t look quite right.
2. I think it’s important to understand perspective because it helps achieve accuracy and realism in your drawing. 3. The colored pencil exercises helped me practice blending and incorporating colors that you might not be able to see in the original reference. 4. One of the main techniques I used in this piece was incorporating many colors to add dimension to the image. I created perspective by making things darker and less detailed as they got further away. 5. I was able to show depth by showing things as smaller, darker, and less detailed as they moved closer to the background. Things in the foreground are larger and brighter. 6. I'm not very familiar with colored pencils, so the foreign medium definitely proved to be an obstacle. However, the fine tip of the pencil made details more precise and the color made contrast easier in comparison to graphite pencils. 7. I think learning more irregular objects in perspective would've been helpful, because I had a lot of trouble making the ship appear round.
This assignment was to draw three different sections of fabric on three different shades of paper. On the black paper, I used a white prisma color pencil to highlight the fabric. On the white paper, I used different graphite pencils to add shadows. On the gray paper, I used a black charcoal pencil for the shadows and a white charcoal pencil for the highlights. (i could not find the picture of the last one i will upload it as soon as i find it)
This assignment was to draw a white ribbon on black paper to prepare us for drawing fabric. I think overall I did well on this assignment, but there’s always room to improve. *picture will be resized when I get home*
This assignment was to draw a value scale, then two spheres: one with instruction and one without. The next part of the assignment was to draw cylinders, cubes, pyramids, and cones one their own. The final part of this assignment was to draw three shapes together (in my case a cylinder, sphere, and cube). I think overall I did well on this assignment, but I could do better on the shadows.
This assignment was to draw a hand without lifting our pens. I think I did better with becoming less sketchy by the last drawing. However, with more practice I might make less mistakes that would make the drawing look sketchy.
